Planet Dog is just about my favorite dog product manufacturer. They are one of those companies that is conscious of dog safety in the materials and processes they use to manufacture products, are ecologically minded in using reusable, recycled materials and their products are made in the good ‘ol US of A.
They are expanding their line of products and toys and are doing a mighty fine job of it. The Wood-Chuck dog ball thrower is one of their latest designs.
The design itself is similar to the ChuckIt dog ball thrower but with that nice eco friendly twist. The handle is made out of wood with a bamboo core making it ecologically sound and the bamboo gives some addition flex to the handle as opposed to the plastic handle of the Chuckit.
Planet dog makes their balls out of softer rubber that bounces very well. One line of balls is made of totally recycled materials.
The design is such that the handle is a curved device with a place to hold the ball at one end, leading to a curved, flexible handle. The user grabs the handle at the opposite end from the ball and with an underhand or overhand throw launches the ball a great deal farther than you can throw the ball with just your arm.
Planet dog continues to make great products for dogs and people.
