The Hyper Dog ball launcher is a dangerous looking device. Born of the design from a slingshot this is one serious dog ball thrower.
First the Hyper Dog ball launcher comes in two models. One has a holder for two balls and the other, a little larger, has a holder for four balls. The design offers hands free ball pickup with the holders that are on the launcher. You always want at least two balls so you can keep the action going strong.
The build is of metal tubing and is designed just like a pro slingshot with a padded forearm brace that helps give you some support for pulling the sling part back. The ball is held in a leather pouch with surgical rubber tubing connecting the pouch with the slingshot.
The manufacturer says you can launch a ball 220 feet with this device. It’s good but that is a pretty fair distance. The one complaint I have read in other reviews is the surgical tubing broke very quickly. Hyperdog now sells replacement parts for the ball launcher. The tubing looks to be a stronger grade as well.
The Hyperdog ball launcher in either model is a great device for you and you buddy. Keeping a ball crazed nut of a dog busy is hard work. This will allow you to wear your dog out without you getting tired with him. This is a well designed accessory and will serve you well. They are priced at $25 and $30 respectively for the two and four ball designs.
