EzyDog is one of those new companies that actually think a lot about the dog when developing their products. They started with the development of the Original Shock Absorbing rope dog leash( the EzyDog Dog Leads) and have expanded their line to cloths, modular leash systems, collars and tough toys. They use the best materials in making their fine line of products. Their shock absorbing leashes have been refined since invented back in 2002 in Australia.
The EzyDog line of shock absorbing leashes are made of strong, woven, synthetic rope material that has a bit if a give it. The material has reflective threading to help make the leash viewable at night. Every product is handmade and EzyDog is constantly doing research and development for providing dogs and owners with new, innovative products.
The first in their line of leads is Cujo which is a 25 inch lead with a rubber handle on it that is triangular in shape. This gives a large, wide area to hold the lead for control of the dog. The handles size and shape also help distribute the stress for a more comfortable grip, even when being pulled. The Cujo comes in a 40 inch lead as well for smaller dogs or dogs that are under control of the handlers. There are additional extensions made from the same material that can be connected to the lead for a longer more casual lead. The Mutley is basically the same as Cujo but has a water proof, neoprene handle for a more casual grip. The Mutley is very comfortable and is recommended for joggers or bikers. An extension may be added to the Mutley as well and it also comes in a 40 inch version.
Next is the Mongrel which is designed for larger dogs where very good control is needed. The leash itself is very short with a six niche stretch just like Cujo. It has the same handle as on Cujo which helps with the control issue. An extension may be used with the Mongrel. The Mongrel extension has a ring in it for quickly looping the lead through for a shorter more controlling leash. The Neo Mogrel is basically the same lead but with the neoprene handle. Again this version is recommended for dogs that run or bike with owners or agility handlers.
There is a model for small dogs called the Sparky with the same features minus the modularity of the extension. The Sparky is already 48 inches long with the rubber, pyramid handle.
EzyDog makes some training leashes that can be quickly converted to longer, shorter, hands free and a tether if needed. These leashes are made of a soft nylon material instead of the rope the shock absorbing ones are made of.
On additional mention is the extensions created for two dogs to hook into the same lead. The website demonstrates with two full grown Weimeriners. The extension is designed with an o-ring that the lead hooks into and swivel hooks that connect to the dog via collar or harness. There is a Sparky version of the two dog coupler as well.
EzyDog makes some great products all around. They particularly make a great shock absorbing leash system that can be helpful for any dog owner but especially a dog owner that has one or more large breeds. The give of the leash is a welcome relief.
