Week 9

Regular week she is making progress but still chewing paper and furniture. I am staying on her in hopes it will just take time. All in all she’s a pretty good pup.

We go in on July 3 for the last of the puppy shots so I can take her out now. She is right at 31 pounds now, long legs and sleek. I’ve been feeding her Innova Large breed puppy food since the first week we got her and her coat is shiny and beautiful. She really is a good looking pup.

I take her from the veterinarian’s office by a buddies house that has a Labradoodle pup, female also, that is two weeks younger and about ten pounds lighter. It took about two seconds for them to start clashing. They played for an hour before getting tired. It was so good to see her have another pup to play with. They would run full speed at each other and jump in the air as they met, snapping while they passed or just colliding into one another.

We got up Sunday and went for a very long walk. The weather was unseasonably cool and a great day for a walk. She did very well for not spending much time on the leash and I kept it short to control her. She is all over the place but I kept her by my side and did not let her get ahead of me. It’s good exercise and I am enjoying the walks. She’s not too bad for a fresh puppy on lead. It’s been since last Thanksgiving when my pal Sam stopped going for walks and I have missed them, and him, immensely.
