Days 31 thru 38 Monday May 31 thru June 6, 2010
We continue to work on the basics. Urinating in the house occasionally however all in all the house training continues to go well. She goes to the back door when she wants to go out.
I am leaving her out for just a little by herself. She will eat anything and I mean ANYTHING! Mostly twigs from trees which is OK she just kinda chews them up until she is distracted by something else. She is an amazing ant-hound. Still early in the morning around 6am when the birds are just starting to stir she goes out and the breed shows itself in a point. It is beautiful.
She is growing so much. Her legs are getting long and although still rather clumsy and clown-like I am starting to see signs of coordination in her running. She is running everywhere. Got to move two feet, heck let’s run!
Our challenges this week are the mouthing and biting. She is starting to listen to correction commands just a little. It is frustrating as she tends to be relentless on coming at you.
Accidents are rare but she is still peeing when not able to go out pretty soon after drinking water. No problems at night. The morning and afternoon crate
She is so used to the crate now that when she is ready around 10 she will just go in on her own and lay down.
Last week, even though she could not go to the beach, was great time spent. Although she is pretty wild she is listening better and we are having fun. Cannot wait until all these puppy shots are over and I can start taking her on walks.
