First injury playing ball this week to her front left shoulder area. She was due for the last parvo vaccination anyway so I made an appointment. Our veterinarian put her on a small dose of Derramax (anti-inflammatory) and she was better in a couple of days. Doc was careful about injuries that can occur while they are young and persist later on like ligament tares. He said to contact him in a week if she is not better.
She weighed in at 41 pounds. Boy it seems like just yesterday she was an 8 pound ball of fur. She is going to get bigger as well. I can notice a difference every couple of days. Not as pronounced growth spurts as earlier but once a week I look and notice she is bigger than last week.
Next vet visit will be in September to get her spayed. We lay off of the walks for three days until I was sure she was not limping any longer and eased back into it by the weekend. She was tough to keep settled down as instructed.
She is able to spend longer times in the crate. This is freeing me up to look for some extra work after I get off the regular job. I am about to take the divider out giving her the full crate to stretch out in. She likes to stretch out and is not a curler.
