I love all my dogs greatly and think they deserve the absolute finest, as long as it is affordable. I have over the years searched for custom dog collars and have thought about trying my hand at making my own, although I will be the first to admit I already have enough hobbies to carry me long into retirement. Hardly time for work as it is. So because I do not want to start a new hobby right now I started a new search for fine custom dog collars to choose from once my four month old Labrador retriever gets big enough. Right now she’s growing too fast but pretty soon.
First I am always partial to a nice leather dog collar. I guess leather collars and Labs just does it for me. I love to buy locally and there is a maker in Wilmington, NC that does some fantastic products. Handcrafted leather dog collars make some of the most beautiful classic custom dog collars you could buy. They have a line of collars, dog leads and harnesses along with doing custom work in a wide variety of leathers including alligator, ostrich and stingray. Adorned with brass buckles that can be engraved the folks at Handcrafted collars make some of the best custom dog collars available anywhere. Their website is one of those that are enjoyable to visit as each model collar in their line has a little story and each is named after a member of the family. Incredibly classy and elegant obviously made by people that have a passion for both leather work and dogs.
Another leather favorite of mine is the work of Rocketbuster Boots in El Paso, Texas. Not only do they make the coolest boots this side of the Rockies but they also make some beautiful dog collars. They have another great website with full catalog of boots and accessories. The Dawg Collars are under accessories. Ladies beware they make some beautiful handbags also. The dog collars are stamped and colored and are just downright cool. All are custom made to your dog’s size. I particularly like the tiki design with dice and flames. You can get a name on your design as well. I got to tell you I love these collars.
When it comes to cloth custom dog collars check out cozy critter for embroidered dog collars. They have all kinds of designs from holidays to sporting teams to pirates and hot rod flames. The will customs embroider any of their products. They carry a really nice line of bandannas that thread through the collar instead of tying around the neck. Of course you can get matching leashes.
People get real creative when it comes to dogs. Who can blame them we want the very best for our pups, and it helps if they look good too. I like all of the custom dog collars makers that are presented here. I particularly love the designs of Rocketbuster Boots for stepping out, the Handcrafted Dogcollars for strong everyday look and of course you need to celebrate the holidays with cozy critter products. Go forth and have fun!
