Every dog I have ever come into contact with loves a ball. Classically tennis balls are about the perfect size ball for a dog. I said ‘about’. The problem is that they are too light to throw for any distance and they can be torn up pretty easily. You need dog balls that are made of good, non-toxic materials that will last the beating they are going to get. Make sure you get the correct size for your breed. A large breed could easily swallow a ball made for a toy breed. I have always had Labrador retrievers and some heavy chewers among those. I always need a dog ball that will stand up to the abuse. Dog furniture, now I have heard everything. I thought my furniture was the dog’s furniture but no they have to have their own line of furniture just like we do. Now I have dog beds all over the place for whenever someone wants to rest of course they always wind up on the bed or the couch and will insist you move if you are in “their” place.
Searching the internet you can always find the craziest items for sale to anyone wanting to completely spoil their pooch. If you have a toy breed and you are a fashion person I bet you have dog clothes for your little angel. If so then you will need a dog armoire to neatly put all their dog clothes and accessories in. A dog playpen is an enclosed fencing or some other material that you can set up outside or in to give your dog an area where they can play around a little under minimum supervision. They are not a substitute for a dog crate which is a cage where the dog goes to sleep and unsupervised when you the owner cannot be at home. Dogs are den dwelling animals and get used to a crate easily and quickly. Dog crates are made for all sizes of dogs. Dog playpens are made for small dogs and possibly smaller pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, etc.
First the wire dog playpen which is made similar to the wire crates with steel wire being spot wielded together. They are either square or hexagonal (eight side) and some can be connected to a crate. In the past I have simply put a blanket over the dog crate at night when the pup sleeps but I decided since our house is small and the crate sits out in the living room I would look for dog crate covers just to tidy things up a little bit. Well as usually I was blown away at the work that some folks put into creating these covers. A quick search on the internet revealed some beautifully done ones and some functional ones as well.
Fashion Dog Crate Covers
There was the gathered dog crate covers with tiebacks made out of very nice materials in different colors. The gathered dog crate covers have drape like door coverings that pulled back and hooked on the side. They have colors such as espresso and chocolate twill. Fine products with the designer in mind and as you would know it some were by Ralph Lauren.
There was a stagecoach dog crate covers that the door cover rolls up neatly and hooks at top. There are some made for crates like we have that have two doors and the door panels rolled up so the rest of the crate can remain covered. Of course you can get matching bed or pad covers made with the same materials. Very nicely designed and they did have some that were plain colors.
